  • I purchase this product primarily as an emergency power backup for my Iphone, GPS unit, and camera - for day hikes and backpacking trips. I recently used it on a local trip, and it definitely came in handy. The unit is light and pretty sturdy - I tied it to the back of my pack so it could charge while I hiked. At the end of the day I was able to fully charge my Iphone, with extra power to spare. When not outdoors I use it at work - it picks up enough light from the window to keep my Iphone charged, allowing me to save electricity. Overall an outstanding product and a good value.
