Blackberry ASY-14396-011 Desktop Charging Pod
- Easy to use - works well - no issues making it work. Set it on nightstand and don't have to fiddle with trying to plug in small USB plug in the dark or turning on a light and wake my wife. Should come standard with Blackberry.
- It does the job, it charges the BB Bold 9700 basically.Other things you should know (in case you're not already aware):- It only "charges" the phone, the BB USB cable that you use with the pod, won't transfer any data (of course, it does not connect directly to the mini USB port on the phone).- The phone easily may get disconnected from the pod if you use medium force on the keyboard. (reason #1 for the 4 star rating)- Once you connect the phone to the pod, it automatically changes to speakerphone mode, which is pretty useful when you receive/make calls while charging.- You won't be able to connect the phone to the pod if you're using a case.
